Off-Broadway musical sensation Disenchanted! is set to receive its UK professional premiere at The Pentland Theatre at Pleasance at EICC, this August as part of the Edinburgh Fringe.

Now in its twentieth year, having been performed on five continents since its off-Broadway debut, Disenchanted! features more bite, more sass and zero damsels in distress. Forget happily ever after; Cinderella’s done cleaning, Sleeping Beauty’s wide awake and Snow White’s calling the shots now. These princesses don’t want to play nice, they want to storm the castle – one show-stopping number at a time.

#PrincessesUniteWorldwide

The musical by Dennis T Giacino and Fiely Matias will run at The Pentland Theatre at Pleasance at EICC from 5 to 30 August 2026.

Giacino and Matias say, “We had our beginnings as artists showcasing our works at numerous Fringe fests around the globe. To now be part of the mother of all Fringes is a fab dream come true. Fringe, with its focus on freedom of expression, is where we found our unique and unbridled brand of mischievous musical-comedy. We are uber-excited for audiences in Edinburgh to Dis!-cover these rowdy royal renegades as they fringe-fully bippity-boppity belt out the no-holds-barred truth about happ’ly ever after. This is a plucky princess party that is anything but Grimm. The T will be spilled. #PrincessesUniteWorldwide.”

The Disenchanted! cast features Eliza Bowden as Belle/Little Mermaid/Rapunzel, Lois Glenister as Snow White, Jewelle Hutchinson as The Princess (Who Kissed a Frog), Rosie Napper as Cinderella, Ashley New as Hua Mulan/Pocahontas and Roshaan Saulnier as Sleeping Beauty/Princess Badroulbadour.

The cheeky, musical mash-up of everyone’s favourite fairy tales, is perfect for anyone looking to let their hair down, take a magic carpet ride or maybe kiss a frog or two. Running time is 80 mins with no interval). Age recommendation: 14+.
