It’s time to look out your tartan! Edinburgh, Toronto and London sell-out musical, I Ran With The Gang: A Tribute to the Original Bay City Roller Alan Longmuir and voice of the Rollers Les McKeown, is coming home to Edinburgh for two intimate dinner performances at one of the Capital’s top restaurants, Dine.

Returning by popular demand the five-star smash-hit musical will once again be the focus of two gourmet dinner theatre evenings at Edinburgh’s acclaimed Dine restaurant at 10 Cambridge Street.

Written by award-winning playwright and MustSeeTheatre.com founder, Liam Rudden, and featuring the hit songs Bye Bye Baby, Summerlove Sensation, Shang-a-Lang! and more, this brand-new production of I Ran With The Gang is a moving tribute to both Alan Longmuir, who passed away in 2018, and the group’s frontman Les McKeown, who left us in 2021. Having previously sold out on its last five visits to Dine, the show tells the story of Alan’s journey from humble Edinburgh plumber to global pop star and back, while featuring the songs that made Les a superstar..

The performances, on Monday 3 March and Tuesday 4 March, will be preceded by a gourmet three-course meal from the kitchen of co-owner and Michelin chef, Stuart Muir. Doors open at 6pm and the evening gets underway at 7pm when the meal from Dine’s multi award-winning kitchen team will be served. The intimate and interactive performances of I Ran With The Gang start at 9pm – don’t forget your tartan scarfs.

Here’s what previous patrons’ wrote about Dine’s I Ran With The Gang dinner evenings…

  • We were a party of six with ages ranging from late 20s to early 70s and we all had a fantastic night at your I Ran With the Gang night. Food, service etc was great as always and the show was excellent. Well done to all involved.
  • Had an absolutely brilliant evening. Food was great, as was our waiter and the show was amazing. We were both transported back to our teenage years when we saw the Bay City Rollers at our youth club in Anstruther. What a great combination.
  • I was with my daughter who loved to hear the story of the Bay City Rollers who l loved when I was a teenager. The music and atmosphere with dancing made it a fantastic experience. Of course, the food and service was as always amazing. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
  • An outstanding evening.
  • Great service. Great food. Great entertainment from I Ran With The Gang. Loved it!
  • Often eat at Dine but this was the first time we’ve been in for a show too. Dinner was excellent as always and the show was fantastic. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
