Broadway Spider-Man swings out of the dark and into spotlight at Kit Kat Club

Reeve Carney

Grammy Award winner Reeve Carney, best known for originating the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Broadway production Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark is set to take over the role of Emcee in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club on London’s West End from 22 September 2025 to 24 January 2026.

For Carney it’s a return to the West End following his run earlier this year as Orpheus in Hadestown, at the Lyric Theatre, a role he created at the National Theatre and in the original Broadway production of the show. For his season in Cabaret, Carney will be joined by double Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winner Eva Noblezada as Sally Bowles.

They will star alongside Baker Mukasa as Clifford Bradshaw, Olivier Award winner Ruthie Henshall as Fraulein Schneider, Robert Hands as Herr Schultz and Lucas Koch as Ernst Ludwig. Also joining the cast from 22 September are Joe Atkinson, Xavion Campbell-Brown, Olivia-Rose Deer, Anya Ferdinand, Danny Fogarty, Manu Sarswat, Tom Scanlon and Eva-Rose Tanaka.

Continuing in the company are Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie, alongside Adrian Grove,  Ela Lisondra, Hícaro Nicolai, Andy Rees, Alexandra Regan, Marina Tavolieri and Lucy Young.

Neither Carney nor Noblezada will appear from Wednesday 22 October to Wednesday 5 November when Joe Atkinson and Marina Tavolieri will play Emcee and Sally Bowles respectively.

Having recently celebrated its 1,500th performance, Cabaret is currently booking until Saturday 23 May 2026, making it the longest running production of Cabaret in West End history.

This unique production opened in December 2021 to critical and audience acclaim, widely praised as the ultimate theatrical experience. In April 2022 it won a record-breaking seven Olivier Awards. The production has also won three Critics Circle Awards as well as the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Design for designer Tom Scutt who transformed one of London’s most famous theatres with an in-the-round auditorium and reimagined spaces.

One of the most successful musicals of all time, Cabaret features the iconic songs Willkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money and the title number. With music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, book by Joe Masteroff it is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

Cabaret is directed by Rebecca Frecknall with choreography by Julia Cheng. Musical supervision is by Jennifer Whyte and musical direction is by Ben van Tienen with lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Nick Lidster, Wigs and Hair design by Sam Cox and Make-Up design by Guy Common.
