Thank you for supporting Must See Theatre in 2024… here’s to another fantastic year of theatre-going in 2025

The first full year of MustSeeTheatre.com has come around faster than I could ever have imagined and, in that time, what started of as a platform to allow me to continue to share my reviews and love of ‘live theatre’, which I have championed across numerous print titles for more than four decades (including a record-breaking 19 years as Entertainment and Festivals Editor of the Edinburgh Evening News), has become something far more, and that’s thanks to you and everyone who has supported myself and the Must See Theatre platform over the last 12 months.

There are many people to thank for making MustSeeTheatre.com the trusted and popular site it has become, already we are well on our way to our target for 2025, One Million hits. I’d love you to help us get there by sharing the reviews and posts you like.

So, at the risk of missing anyone out, thank you to all the producers, PRs and venue marketing and press teams who have worked with me to give MustSeeTheatre.com access to many of the biggest productions in the UK; highlights of 2024 have included Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma in an incredibly immersive Macbeth at the Royal Highland Centre, Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker in Plaza Suite on London’s West End, Cameron Mackintosh’s first UK tour of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s brilliant musical, Hamilton, the epic Les Miserables – The Arena Spectacular, Ben Whishaw in a mesmerising Waiting For Godot and, of course, Donny Osmond as Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – easily the hottest ticket in Edinburgh this year.

Thank you also to the businesses that have supported MustSeeTheatre.com over the year including ATG Entertainment, Trafalgar Theatres, Edinburgh Playhouse, Capital Theatres, BBC Radio Scotland, World’s Biggest Productions, Dine Edinburgh, Cadies Tours, LNER, LW Theatres and Lumo Trains. A very special thanks also goes to The Edinburgh Reporter, where you will find my monthly Must See Theatre spread, both in print and online.

Most importantly, however, thank you for clicking the links, visiting the site and reading the reviews, news and features – that’s what makes it all worth while. To those of you who access MustSeeTheatre.com through a Substack subscription, a special thanks, you are very much appreciated.

Finally, thanks to the following for their valued support, sage advice and constant encouragement, Damien, Kevin, Simon, Phyllis, David, Pam, Arabella, Richard, Paul, Josie, Ashley, James, Jess, Laura, Emma, Neil, Kirsty, Rebecca and Greg. You all know who you are and why you’re name checked.

So as we look forward to an exciting future, may I wish you all the very best and everything you wish yourself for 2025.

Happy New Year! Lang may yer lum reek!
